The Doctrine and Covenants
And it shall come to pass, that if you shall ask the Father in my name, in faith believing, you shall receive the Holy Ghost, which giveth utterance, that you may stand as a witness of the things of which you shall both hear and see, and also that you may declare repentance unto this generation.
Declaring repentance is all we are allowed to do, vengeance belongs to the lord; that is what separates us from other faiths. On one noteworthy mention, or rather caveat: In our day this still occurs & that is why we shall be utterly wasted at his coming. The lord is merciful in his justice that he bestows to allow his servants to defend themselves! And this is granted under his authority; by the hands of his servants executing wisdom it is the same, yesterday today and forever: they carry out the Lord’s vengeance!
