The Doctrine and Covenants
And now, if your joy will be great with one soul that you have brought unto me into the kingdom of my Father, how great will be your joy if you should bring many souls unto me– /wp:paragraph –>
The currency of God (if you use the callous terms that the world uses, then yes the money that motivates God) is bringing souls immortality and eternal life; note they are two separate occasions. Immortality is having a decent physical body that is resurrected (which the more righteous you are the quicker you get resurrected). Just to give a spoiler Jesus is the Son of God and he had to wait 3 days, Lazarus waited approximately 4 days and wasn’t the Son of God (which honestly gives us a lot of hope for us). Most of us unfortunately must wait until the trump of the first resurrection is sounded before we can rise again (and not everyone is worthy to rise when Jesus comes again). Apparently there is something that we must all see and hear, that only those who listen to the master’s voice, in order for our physical bodies to rise. Some that are unworthy and slow to hear Jesus’ call will not rise until the last resurrection. Lastly on that topic of immortality there are quite possibly those who sin against the Holy Ghost who will be cast into outer darkness and never get a resurrection. Eternal life is a far different matter, remember Job; at the end of his test from God (a test that Job endured well), he was awarded and added these things again unto himself (his wife, sons and daughters, and household restored), but not in this life. That eluded to the same principle which Christ taught, that there will be many mansions prepared for us from God. Eternal life isn’t just your own self, it is what is added thereunto. Eternal life is your glory manifested, distilled upon you as the dews from heaven. Ever notice that as much as the wicked try to take glory away from a righteous man it just keeps on returning to them it seems as though the good man makes little or no effort to gather, but instead it all gathers around the good and holy man. This is your eternal life, and everything determines who wants to spend time with you in the eternities. Hence why some will gather to themselves outer darkness because, no one will want to be with them. Once on the other side when Jesus and God say to that son or daughter well done thou good and faithful servant, just their endorsement alone is enough for all to see.
