The Doctrine and Covenants
But after repenting, and humbling himself sincerely, through faith, God ministered unto him by an holy angel, whose countenance was as lightning, and whose garments were pure and white above all other whiteness;
Oh ye that embark in the service of God see that ye serve him with all your heart might mind and strength, that you will be undaunted (that ye may stand blameless before him at the last) and his power may distill upon your soul as if a dew from heaven: in all these things being redeemed from the fall; moreover sealed unto redemption. Being a true disciple of Christ is to be humble with having these attributes and spiritual blessings and to not boast, but have gratitude. Make your garments pure and white like the countenance of an angel of lightning.
