We may put off the flesh and show mercy only for a short time, but he (yes gender assigned as father) all knowingly shew kindness unto all inhabitants and namely so, the wicked. In their opposite state to him he can give mercy for eternities, until they are ripe for destruction, then he must show (make bare his holy arm) or he would cease to be God: and their would cease to be mercy for an indifferent universe (which is not indifferent only known unto God who can see the beginning from the end). Thus it is written those that show mercy shall attain mercy because it is the path that God walked when he was once mortal.
